COMP ENGINE
Real-Time Visual System for Live Performance
COMP ENGINE is a fully real-time visual architecture designed for large-scale concert environments.
Commissioned by Mohsen Yeganeh
The system generates all visuals live inside TouchDesigner, operating as a fully audio-reactive engine without relying on pre-rendered footage or playback-based media at any stage.
It processes live 4K camera feeds captured through a Blackmagic production workflow, integrating audio analysis,
generative visual structures, compositing, and LED output within a single unified real-time pipeline.
The architecture is carefully optimized for high-performance execution, maintaining low-latency
responsiveness and stable operation under continuous live conditions.
To maintain visual clarity on stage, a real-time background removal process allows reactive visual layers to be positioned behind the performer without compromising subject integrity, preserving a clean and controlled visual hierarchy throughout the performance.
