Morteza Ghahremanian aka Tormoz (born 1989)
is an Iranian New Media Artist and Creative Technologist working across visual arts, real-time systems, and immersive media. He began his professional journey in 2008, starting in Graphic Design and Art Direction, which gave him a solid foundation in creating clear, compelling, and visually balanced compositions — a skill he now applies to complex digital and interactive environments.
He creates responsive digital ecosystems through real-time visual programming, live AV systems, interactive architectures, and AI-driven generative processes. Artistically, Morteza focuses on minimal yet expressive digital landscapes — spaces where natural environments meet subtle abstract elements. He pays special attention to light, scale, and spatial composition, aiming to create atmospheres that feel real but carry a hint of the unexpected.
At the core of his work is visual storytelling. He crafts real-time imagery for stages, installations, and immersive environments. While he designs robust systems to support these projects, his main strength lies in shaping the visual language itself — turning technical tools into striking, atmospheric, and memorable experiences.
Morteza is the founder of Details Studio and co-founder of Otaaared, an educational group for creative coding and new media. His work has been featured in international festivals and live performances, including MUTEK AE (UAE), Timcheh Festival (Germany), Creative Code Art Festival (New York, USA), Set Fest, Medium Fest, showcasing video art, audiovisual and installations.
